A tip of my cute little ballcap to Yinzernation for giving me the early heads up that my newscasting obsession Wendy Bell was promoted in the scuffle at WTAE that saw Scott Baker leaving the station after 13 years. No Jennifer Antkowiak-ish send off. No party. Buh-bye.

Harsh!

I don’t care though, because Wendy is finally getting more props for her hot self.

Bell is the big winner in the realignment, moving from her weekday morning news slot to co-anchor the 5 p.m. news with Michelle Wright and the 11 p.m. news with Mike Clark.

And she didn’t even have to show up naked at Market Square to get the promotion! I will say this, I certainly hope she puts in her new contract that she is no longer allowed to touch her own face or hair with any product or instrument. Get that girl a real makeup person stat!

I should remind you once again of the damage that happens when Wendy wears too much makeup.

Yikes. And WTAE newscast lighting is way harsh as it is. I mean, I saw Sally Wiggin on air the other day and am pretty sure I saw a squirrel trying to claw its way out of the bags under her eyes.

Can’t they soften that shit up?
